parent (:parent)

Description and Syntax

$(':parent')

selects all elements that are the parent of another element, including text nodes. The child elements include text nodes.

Examples

  • $(':parent') selects all elements that are the parent of another element, including text nodes
  • $('td:parent') selects all <td> elements that are the parent of another element, including text nodes

The following code selects the table row.
