Syntax for ID selector

$('#myid') selects the unique element with an ID equal to myid.

Examples

  • $('#myid') selects the unique element with id="myid".
  • $('p#myid') selects a single paragraph with an ID of myid.
  • $("div#elementId") selects all divs with an ID of elementId.
