1. can I use hibernate as alternate to jdbc jar    forum.hibernate.org

Hi, I want to use the hibernate for my application (1) Currently it uses the jdbc driver jar for DB query and update. Could you please let me the required jar for the hibernate for this. (2) Is there any facility to encrypt the DB user password in hibernate (in the configuration file). Regds, tmohanta
