jQuery Selector :first-of-type

Introduction

The :first-of-type selector selects elements who are the first child of a particular type from their parent.

:first-of-type Selector is the same as :nth-of-type(1). 

$(":first-of-type")

Select every <p> element that is the first <p> element of its parent:
