CHECK constraint

A CHECK constraint attaches an expression to a constraint.


SQL> CREATE TABLE VENDORS
  2  (ID           NUMBER,
  3   NAME         VARCHAR2(20),
  4   STATUS       NUMBER(1) CHECK (STATUS IN (4,5)),
  5   CATEGORY     VARCHAR2(5)
  6  );

Table created.
