RTRIM function
RTRIM
removes a set of characters from the right of a string.
RTRIM stands for "right trim".
The general format for this function is:
RTRIM(string[, characters_to_remove])
By default the RTRIM
removes the spaces:
SQL> SELECT RTRIM('days ') FROM dual;
RTRI
----
days
SQL>
Remove a letter:
SQL> SELECT RTRIM('days', 's') FROM dual;
RTR
---
day
