LOWER function

LOWER converts every letter of a string to lowercase. The general format for this function is:

LOWER(string)

SQL> SELECT LOWER('LOWERCASE') FROM dual;

LOWER('LO
---------
lowercase

SQL>

The following query gets the employee's name in lower case:
