Number Conversions:Number(), parseInt() and parseFloat()
There are three functions to convert nonnumeric values into numbers:
Function | Description |
---|---|
Number() | can be used on any data type |
parseInt() | used specifically for converting strings to int |
parseFloat() | used specifically for converting strings to float |
